KQ-423 · MOTE/BEAM
Mote Beam
A shaft of light falls across the interface at an angle, and dust motes drift through it, bright only where the beam is; the pointer stirs the motes as it passes. The page under the beam warms slightly; outside it, nothing changes.

Morning light, row by row.
The east glass throws one long shaft across the benches every clear morning. Nothing on the trays has moved — only the light crossing them has.
