The loop reaching back out: a parcel waiting because you were gone, whose box visibly grows richer with the length of the absence, so the reward is legible before it is ever opened. The ribbon unties, the lid tips away, and the gifts rise one at a time with the best one held back for last — the order of a reveal is most of the reward. The greeting is glad you are back and never once mentions how long it took.
