KQ-476 · COPPERPLATE
Copperplate
The interface as a copperplate engraving: tone becomes fine parallel lines whose thickness follows the darkness, crossing at two angles in the shadows, on cream paper. The pointer's light raises a faint plate sheen.

Coldbrook · locker ledger
Four wards, struck in copper.
The round book, engraved rather than printed: every reading hatched from its own tone, cross-hatched wherever a locker runs coldest. Move the cursor across the plate to catch the light.
