KQ-371 · TAPE/WEAR
Tape Wear
The interface played back from a worn cassette: chroma bleeding sideways, a faint vertical jitter, a tracking band that drifts up the frame tearing what it crosses, dropout streaks, scanlines, and a soft vignette. Every flaw is seeded from the frame clock and the pixel, so the wear is the same on every play.

Reel 14 · winter ledger
Pulled off the vault deck as found, not restored. The tape wears the way years on a shelf wear it — bleeding colour, a band climbing the frame, a dropout every so often — and the same reel plays back the same wear on every pass.
